Autism SIBS Universe (ASU) is a non-profit, a community rooted in sustainability, interdependence, self-advocacy and healthy living. We are a multigenerational interdependent community for individuals and families with and without disabilities.
A few years ago, two autistic siblings living in a group home decided that their living options and opportunities were insufficient. They began to ask a question:
What would a neurodiverse community look like?

HAL() presents the S()MA®RPM Method: a method in which the teacher creates a "teacher-student response loop." The teacher learns how to access the open learning channels (auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic) of the student and adapts the way the lessons are presented accordingly.

CommunicationFIRST is dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of those who cannot rely on speech alone to be heard and understood.

The Spellers Method™ supports nonspeaking, minimally speaking or unreliably speaking individuals learn how to spell and type as their most effective method of communication. It incorporates research based disciplines and individualized support for every speller on their unique path to fluency and autonomy.

Spelling to Communicate (S2C™) aims to help nonspeakers overcome communication barriers through the use of pointing to letters on a board. This method promotes synchrony between cognitive and motor systems, improving communication.

Neurolyrical Cafe is a virtual event hosted with Unrestricted Interest on the last Friday of every month for nonspeakers. This Cafe creates the space for nonspeakers to open up, share their talents and authentic selves amongst one another!
