Mark and Max Eati are neurodivergent nonspeaking autistic siblings from the greater Minneapolis area.  Indu Eati, their mother, is also autistic.  In 2018, they founded Autism Sibs Universe (ASU), a nonprofit organization focused on creating sustainable, neurodiverse communities.

In February 2021, ASU was born.  ASU is a multi-generational community for people with and without disabilities in the heart of Plymouth, MN.  Since its inception, Mark, Max, and Indu have lived in their own homes with supports and accommodations provided by ASU.

The model was conceptualized with direct inputs from people with disabilities, with support from Hennepin County and technical assistance from MN Department of Human Services (DHS).  It continues to be embraced by neurodivergent families and partner organizations as a cutting-edge community designed with care and compassion.

Mark and Max are the authors of two chapbooks, The Divine Maze (2018) and Source in My Core (2021). The siblings are upcoming recipients of the Award for Advocacy and Leadership given by the Autism Society of Minnesota. They were also the keynote speakers at the 3rd Annual Autism Community Summit in 2020. Mark and Indu are graduates of Partners in Policymaking by the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities.

You can find Mark and Max’s works here: blog, The Divine Maze, and Source in My Core.

Note: Some earlier work was published under the siblings’ former names of Meghana and Chetan Junnuru.
