ASU SERVICES
WHAT WE DO
Life at ASU is lived with others. The bonds and joys that grow between our community members are our central force.
We provide individualized services funded by waivers. These include: neurodivergent arts, adapted wellness activities, emotional and trauma supports, animal therapy, creative writing, body work, gardening, and much more— offered daily by a diverse staff. Accommodations are made to meet the sensory and motor needs of individuals. Some members of the community live here full time, while others come for daily activities.
ASU community welcomes individuals with all levels of support needs.
WHERE WE LIVE
ASU is an inclusive, accessible community and environment, blended into the greater neighborhood of Plymouth, MN. Friendly and walkable, the area also provides the privacy and independence necessary for those with unique sensory and safety needs.
We believe in providing a community with self advocacy and no isolation. There are various housing options in our neighborhood including townhomes, apartments, and single-family homes. The hub is in Plymouth, however we are also expanding to supporting families outside of Plymouth. Even if you are outside the greater Minneapolis and Plymouth area feel free to still apply and we will take a look to see what services we can provide.
HOW WE LIVE
We are a community built around a common cause: neurodiverse living.
To achieve this, we seek the creative balance of independence and interdependence. You can choose between staffing options, ranging from no staff to 24x7 support. The staffing support provided can range from medical and integrative wellness to household aid and management. We also provide employment opportunities for individuals looking to get involved in the community. Through supported decision making and person-centered planning, every individual and family can choose their own paths of living.
By working together and caring for each other, we grow a resilient and healthy community.
